Somerler

Somerler is actually a Turkish company that has entered into agreements with a number of Italian pipe makers, notably Armellini. Among their products is probably the best "gadget" pipe currently available. Not unlike the famous "Kirsten" pipe made in the US, the Somerler pipe consists of a number of interchangeable components. It is a system that was designed in Germany, but executed in Italy, using very nice quality briar from Armellini for bowls and shanks. This system overcomes the problems inherent in Kirstens, Falcons, etc in that the smoke passages are of rather large diameter, insuring good airflow. They are reasonably priced, rugged, and surprisingly good smokers.
