Baldo Baldi Pipes

The highest quality handmade Italian pipes. Baldo is a Genoese architect whose pipes show exquisite design and workmanship. He buys his briar from a Calabrian briar cutter who now lives in Liguria in a little town a few kilometers from the sea, also known for its olive oil. He drives an original Austin Mini stationwagon with great enthusiasm, all the while listening to American Jazz from the '50's on casette tapes using a player wedged into the glovebox. He speaks even less English than I do Italian, which greatly limits our conversations. He's an entirely unique character of great charm.
