There are those who insist that unless a Dupont is capable of putting a hole in your pocket within a few days' time, it isn't really a Dupont.
I beg to differ. This smaller version of the famous Line 1 is actually more practical for day to day use, because it weighs substantially less than a boat anchor, and will spare your pants for at least a month.
It is one of my favorite configurations, with a wide strip of Chinese lacquer bounded on either side with gold-plated plaquets with thin vertical lines. It has a convenient thumb wheel adjustment just aft of the burner valve.
This example is in good condition, with minor nicks and dings, and with an engraved "L" on the front bezel. It holds gas perfectly, is structurally sound, and has a good (though muted) ping sound typical of this model.
Dimensions are 45 mm x 33 mm x 13 mm, and it weighs 92 grams (3.3 oz).
Although it lacks the angled pipe valve, it will light your pipe with the panache (and reliability) equalled by few other lighters. And it will make a Bic hang its head in shame.
