Charatan Selected Bent Apple Panel
An intriguing variation on the bent apple from the ever creative Charatan carvers. The rounded contours of the bowl converge to a rounded rim, and there are almost invisible flat panels on the front of the bowl. meanwhile, the tapered shank emerges from a point just above the rounded bottom at the rear, ascending at a 30 degree angle to meet the handcut Double Comfort bit. Best of all, the stummel is entirely covered in straight grain, which follows the contours of bowl and shank, and has an attractive amber brown color. Condition is first rate, but for the usual missing CP and some subtle toothmarks on the top of the bit.
