Both of these imposing Charatans Executives from the later portion of the Lane era are grievously undergraded; the top one could just as easily have been a Supreme, and the lower one a Selected. But such was the confusion that reigned in the marketing department in the final years, confusion that led to the sale of the company to its old rival Dunhill shortly thereafter. The top pipe is further distinguished by its old-fashioned color, and its nicely tapered shank. The bottom one has a very nice convex rim covered in birdseye, and a notably long, tubular shank that lends considerable elegance. Both are fitted with Double Comfort bits, and both are in remarkable condition.
