Charatan c. 1967 "Selected" Long Shanked Bent Brandy
Lovely graining and highly original shape are two hallmarks of Charatan's best work. Here we have a very jaunty pipe of no little charm. It has a pronounced heel that forms a kind of rounded prow at the front, and the bowl is canted backward toward the substantial and extended  tapered shank. The straight grain coverage is outstanding, and the color is an attractive light amber brown. Lightly smoked, the pipe has clear indicia, the original Double Comfort bit, and is in outstanding condition in all regards.
