Kjeld Sorenson is getting better and better with each passing year. He's working his way into the most complex of the classical Danish shapes, and his design and execution are showing great improvement. Consider this blowfish. It shape is especially graceful and symmetrical in outline, revealing startling birdseye on the left side, and a corona of straight grain on the right side surrounding a convex extension. Kjeld has included an original element in the military style, hand cut stick bit, whose lathe turned boss is cut to echo the assymetry of the bowl.
This is a very good pipe indeed, and bespeaks Kjeld's growing confidence and skill. He's definitely a carver to watch.
