Dunhill 1920-1930 "Torpedo" Cigarette Holder

Price: $200.00

Dunhill was a masterful designer with a distinct esthetic rooted in the Art Deco sensibilities. This is, in my estimation, one of his most interesting and highly developed creations. It is distinctly sensuous in its overall shape, and consists of a two-piece case that threads together, the upper portion of which is pierced to allow the cigarette holder that it contains to breathe. Once separated, the holder itself becomes visible, with its threaded sterling "mouth" (to hold fast the cigarette of course) and its thin, tubular shank with miniature orific lips. Of course, both case and holder have discreet ivory dots.

It's in superb condition, obviously cherished by its former owner.
