Pre-War Barlings are rare; Fossils are rare; and Barling Bulldogs are rare. So we have here a thrice rare Barling with a striking blast on its old, air-cured Algerian briar. It's marked as a 1401, and remains in excellent condition in all regards, with notably crisp nomenclature, a clean rim that is only slightly darkened with smoking, and a first rate original bit with the cross still showing.
Also marked as an EL, it's actually a nice sized Group 4 in capacity. So if you are looking for a great classic pipe, you could do far worse than to avall yourself of this one.
