I would guess that this pipe dates from the late 90's, based upon the rather shallow blast and polished section of shank at the shoulder. It is obviously based upon Sven Knudsen's "walrus" design, albeit less daring, and with round briar feet in lieu of Sven's "flippers." The bowl is an elegant "Belge" shape, and it has a nicely made curved shank, and a long, handcut bit.
It's graded as a "Special," suitable to its quality of workmanship and execution. It sits firmly on desk or table, steadied by its "feet," and should be an excellent all-around smoker. Condition is near mint.
