Teddy Knudsen's influence upon Benni is readily apparent in this striking pipe, with its large bowl, elegantly tapered shank, and faceted bit. But it also shows Benni's affinities for rounded shapes, especially in the bowl, which resembles an inverted water droplet. It is, in fact, a notably fluid pipe, characteristed not only by its sinuous shape, but but its superb quality of grain, which surrounds the generous bowl, and extends down the shank. It is rightly graded as a Pearl, and is in superb condition in all regards.
